Core Values

Gospel-Driven

Being Gospel-Driven is a way of ministry and life. We believe that the Gospel is sufficient for salvation and sanctification and we desire to see the power of the transforming Gospel displayed in every part of our church and every part of our lives. We believe the Gospel alone has the power to restore individuals, families, relationships, and society. Therefore, we hope to see the marks of the Gospel displayed in all the other Core Values and in all our relationships, church programs, and teaching.

Missional

The Gospel is also a proclamation! We desire (as God does) that many come to Christ and join the fellowship of heaven. We are blessed, privileged, and equipped to share the good news. This must be done in a way that engages our surrounding culture. All men are made in the image of God and must be respected and given dignity and honor in all our relationships with them and when they visit our church. As our Lord taught us to love all men, we will extend this love to all those around us, unconditionally and with acceptance. Missional means that we are committed to life outside our church walls by extending the love of Christ to redeem and renew society and culture. Through our service, outreach, and relationships, we long to see goodness and justice prevail in the community around us, in our nation, and to all the world.

Community

As God created man not to be alone, but to be interrelated and connected to one another, so at GPC, we desire that men and women be connected both spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We desire that our small groups, called Grace Groups, be a place where people can learn, share, pray, and grow. They are safe places where the hurting, the wounded, the lost, and the rejected may come to feel and experience the love and grace of the Gospel.

Transformation

The Gospel not only saves lives, but changes lives as well. We value and respect that all people are broken, weak, and daily needing of God’s Grace. While our re-creation is a long and difficult process, we believe in the power of the Good News to restore and renew men and women into the fuller likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ. At GPC, we believe that real transformation begins humbly at the feet of Jesus, and happens only by the Gospel and in the context of Community.

Multi-ethnic

Multi-Ethnicity is a Core Value at GPC because we long to see the beauty of all peoples worshipping God and living a life of worship together. We believe the Gospel can restore relationships by breaking down cultural barriers at the same time, valuing and appreciating our God given differences. As this world becomes more and more International (in business, academia, technology, philosophy, and entertainment), it is our Missional responsibility to display the wonder of the God’s love uniting all peoples. At GPC, we envision people from every background living their lives together in community.
